The purpose of this dissertation is development of the theoretical, methodological and practical foundations of the formation of the innovative potential of integrated business structures. For the first time, the work has developed and proposed the conceptual principles of managing the processes of formation and development of the innovative potential of integrated business structures, which consist in the combination of two key components of the innovative potential (financial-market and innovative-intellectual) according to the defined limit levels of their development. This made it possible to carry out an integral assessment of the innovative potential, determine the limits of its implementation and assess its actual sufficiency. Methodological foundations, functions and organizational forms of implementing a set of preventive measures to prevent financial and innovative risks have been formed and substantiated. For the first time, a matrix/map of the positioning of individual IBs was proposed depending on the value of the integral taxonomic indicator of the level of development of innovation potential, which allowed monitoring the dynamics of changes in the value of innovation potential in the identified clusters. The methodology for evaluating innovation potential has been improved, which is determined by financial-market and innovation-intellectual consolidated groups with further distribution and ranking of the studied business units according to the available components of innovation potential. The strategic toolkit of research and management of innovative development of integrated business models, which is based on the construction of a structural diagram of a strategic set that sets the vector for the development of innovative activity, has been supplemented. Methodological provisions and an approach to modeling the innovative potential of IBS, which includes an expanded set of key components of innovative activity, have been thoroughly researched and improved. A scientific approach to the identification of risk factors (financial and innovative) is substantiated, which is based on a comparison of the effectiveness of innovative activity and a certain category of risk, which will provide the possibility of constant monitoring and will contribute to the development of one's own innovative potential. An algorithm for evaluating the level of realization of the existing innovation potential of the IBS is proposed, which differs in the use of key evaluation indicators with the indication of individual feedback parameters according to the ranges of desirability functions for integrated business structures. The organizational and economic mechanism for the formation and development of the innovative potential of integrated business structures has been supplemented in terms of a complex combination of methodological, methodical and organizational tools, the application of which in practice will allow the formation of specific strategic goals and the identification of competitive IBSs based on the level of their innovative potential. The categorical apparatus in the field of formation and development of the innovative potential of integrated business structures has been supplemented, which differs in terms of rethinking the basic concepts of «innovation», «potential», «integrated business structures», which allowed to synergistically combine them in the author’s definition. The classification of factors that determine the field of management of the formation and development of innovative potential has been analyzed and structured in detail in terms of the introduction of additional classification features, which allows business units to gain a competitive advantage in terms of leveling the influence of disincentive factors. The directions of the state stimulation of innovative development of integrated business structures, consisting in the implementation and implementation of an effective stimulating innovation policy of the state, have been determined. Scientific methods and methodical approaches to the integral assessment of the processes of formation and development of the innovative potential of IBS have been supplemented, where the main criteria of the methodological process and the system of basic indicators for the integral assessment of the innovative potential are defined. The methodological toolkit for identifying the sufficiency of the key components of the innovation potential of the IBS was improved, which made it possible to position the investigated business units on the plane of the financial-market and innovation-intellectual vector and to determine the maximum permissible levels of the sufficiency of the innovation potential for the effective functioning of the IBS
