Hren N. Age discrimination: legal aspect

The dissertation is devoted to solving a scientific and applied problem of great importance for legal science, which is a comprehensive theoretical and legal understanding of age discrimination and the formation of an appropriate legal policy to combat and prevent age discrimination. Based on the author's methodological tools, the author proposes her own conceptual and categorical apparatus of age discrimination. The social conditions that contribute to age discrimination in today's globalized society, in the context of pandemic threats and military conflicts are grouped. The author distinguishes general and special principles of legal policy of nondiscrimination on the basis of age, which form the basis for the state's regulatory activities, law enforcement and law application practice. The author positions the need to introduce the term "multiple age discrimination" into the conceptual and categorical apparatus. The author determines the guarantees of the principle of age non-discrimination and reveals the groups of guarantees for combating age discrimination: political; ideological; social; legal (regulatory, institutional). The author identifies the features of guarantees of non-discrimination on the basis of age in the modern legal reality and suggests improvements to the regulatory legal and institutional guarantees.
