Subject: facultative parasites of necrotrophic nutritio - cottony rot, bud rot, phomopsis. The aim: improvement of sunflower resistance to the pathogenes causing sclerotiniose, bud rot, phomopsis. Methods: phytopathological, microscopic, biochemical, selected, statistical ones. Results: there have been established the peculiarities of interactions in the "pathogene - host - environment" system; there have been determined some risky zones for disease distribution by seeds; there have been developed some methods for evaluation of sunflower resistance to the pathogenes of cottony rot, bud rot, phomopsis. A model of suflower resistant plant has been elaborated. Some resistant lines, cultivars, hybrids have been released. The area of application: breeding institutions, agriculture.
