Zayets' A. The rule of law in Ukraine: concept and realisation mechanisms.

The work is dedicated to study the concept and essence of the rule of law proclaimed by the Constitution of Ukraine, the safeguards of the constitutional character of state and state power in the present-day conditions. For this purpose, the thesis focuses on the nature of legal regulation, the society's and state's influence on its formation.On the grounds of the idea of sovereignty of the people and recognition of the people as the sole source of authority, the comprehension of law as cumulative regulation legitimated by society is being substantiated, as a result the state obtains the expression of a public law union of the people, and the law becomes the foundation of such a union. This approach is used to justify the state authority's commitment with law and the authority's political and legal responsibility with respect to the people.
