Essay

Theoretical and experimental substantiation of optimal composition, technologies and methods of research of medical gel and sponges based on water extract from cryolyophilized xenoderm for the local treatment of burns are presented in thesis. The composition is substantiated, the technology of water extraction from xenoderm is developed, physicochemical and pharmaco-technological properties are studied. The composition of the gel under the conditional name “Xeliogel” and medical sponges theoretically and experimentally substantiated. Methods for identification and quantification of amino acids, lidocaine hydrochloride and preservative (phenylethyl alcohol) in gel using chromatographic methods are proposed. With the use of mathematical planning of the experiment (dispersion and regression methods), the optimal composition of sponges is proposed and the technology of their production using lyophilization is developed. Methods of amino acid identification and quantification of chlorhexidine digluconate in developed medical sponges have been developed. Pharmacological and histological studies have been performed to confirm the effectiveness of “Xeliogel” gel and medical sponges. Draft technological regulations and methods of quality control for medical gels and sponges have been developed and tested based on the JSC “Halychpharm” of the Arterium Corporation and based on the LLC “Institute of Biomedical Technologies”. Based on the obtained data, the conditions of gel storage are proposed - at a temperature of 2-8 ° С in tubes of 30.0 g in a place protected from light, shelf life - 2 years. For medical sponges, it is proposed to set the shelf life - 2 years at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C in parchment-cellophane packaging in a dark place.
