This dissertation is devoted to the complex research of procedural, organizational and tactical peculiarities of investigation of robberies committed by juveniles in modern conditions. The state of scientific researches of problems of investigation of robberies committed by juveniles conducted by domestic and foreign scientists has been highlighted; the conclusion as to the necessity for their further improvement has been made. The content of forensic characteristics of this type of crimes has been revealed, namely its main elements: the method of committing, place, time and trace scene of the crime, person of the juvenile offender, person of the victim and target of the criminal encroachment. Particular attention has been paid to the complex analysis of the structure of personality of a juvenile offender, his needs and motivation of criminal activity. It has been found out that the features of the subject (physical, mental development, gender and age) form the method of committing and concealing robberies, which are usually tend to: being committed mainly in places where juveniles most often spend their leisure or not far from them; have group nature; lack consistency and logic in their actions; use methods based on the imitation of detective novels and films protagonists’ actions; have «serial» character of committing; being supplemented with cynical actions on the crime scene (for example, meaningless spoilage of things); lack of sound measures to conceal traces of a crime; create stealage concealments in the place of residence or in surrounding areas (sheds, garages, attics, cellars, etc.); being deliberately boasted among peers.
