Pavliuk S. Legal regulation of multimodal freight transportation

The thesis is devoted to the research of legal regulation of multimodal freight transportation. Based on the analysis, for the first time the expediency of transferring public administration functions in the field of multimodal freight transportation to the state executive body in the field of transport is substantiated; the expediency of introducing requirements to business entities that perform the functions of multimodal transport operators while organizing multimodal freight transportation, in order to confirm the compliance with the quality of services, provided in this area, is substantiated. The provisions concerning the legal form of multimodal freight transportation, as well as the scope of economic-legal liability of economic entities that perform the functions of multimodal transport operators are improved. The provisions on the concept of multimodal freight transportation as a type of economic activity; application of the "multimodal transportation" term as a generic concept for all types of multimodal freight transportations; classification of multimodal freight transportation; classification of the participants of multimodal freight transportation by functional purpose; the legal framework for multimodal freight transportation; the subjects of economic-legal responsibility in the field of multimodal freight transportation are further developed.
