Hurin D. Administrative and Legal Provision of the Refugees Status in Ukraine

The paper comprehensively examines the administrative and legal support of refugee status in Ukraine, as well as developed scientifically sound proposals for improving existing legislation in this area. The genesis of the concept of "refugee" in international and national law is studied. The author's vision of administrative and legal support of refugee status is offered. Elements of administrative and legal support of refugee status in Ukraine (object, subjects, means, procedures) are described. The subjects of administrative and legal support of refugee status are identified and their classification is given. The normative-legal acts concerning the administrative-legal provision of granting refugee status in Ukraine are classified. The means of administrative and legal support for granting refugee status are described. Ways to improve the means of administrative and legal support of refugee status in Ukraine are proposed. The concepts, main and optional stages of the procedure for obtaining refugee status are analyzed. The shortcomings of the refugee status procedure are outlined. Proposals have been formulated to improve the current legislation of Ukraine concerning the granting of refugee status.
