Essay

A new approach to solving current problem of developing entrepreneurial competence of secondary school students of Ukraine by studying and implementing promising American experience has been proposed. It has been found that in US secondary schools, the development of entrepreneurial competence of students is carried out through the content of school curricula, mainly social. A structural and functional model of the formation of entrepreneurial competence of US secondary school students, covering: goals, tasks, contents, stages, criteria, the level of formation of this personal education has been developed. The state of entrepreneurial competence in students of secondary schools in the United States and Ukraine has been monitored according to three main criteria. Recommendations for the use of positive American experience in Ukrainian educational practice at the state, regional and local levels have been outlined.
