Sorokina L. Prevention of Pension Crimes in Ukraine

In the thesis, the scientific propositions considering the concepts of domestic and foreign scientists, legislation and long-term practice of law enforcement bodies of Ukraine and other countries are developed. The obtained findings solve an important scientific issue of determining theoretical foundations and practical recommendations for preventing crime in retirement security. The current state of research and scientific approaches to determining the pension security are substantiated. The author’s definition of crimes in the retirement security is suggested. The author defines the crime as a phenomenon caused by the peculiarities of social conditions, which is manifested in the illegal behaviour of officials of the bodies that provide the pension security on the stage of preparing documents for submission to the appointment and calculation of pension. It is claimed that unlawful acts in the pension security can be committed by the corresponding enterprises, institutions and organisations as well as by individuals applying for obtaining or increasing their pension.
