Essay

The relevance of the study is caused by such main factors as: the new requirements for personality of a future primary school teacher and his professional activity; educational sector modernization which means improving the quality of professional training of future teachers; the importance of practical pedagogical training of future primary school teachers, as this training is aimed at laying the foundation for specialists’ professional growth. The expediency of studying this problem is also determined by the need to overcome the contradictions between: strengthening the requirements for the quality of education and upbringing of junior schoolchildren in the context of the Concept “New Ukrainian School” and insufficient level of practical training of primary school teachers to implement these requirements; the opportunities of pedagogical practice to promote the professional growth of future primary school teachers and insufficient level of realization of these opportunities; the need to increase the efficiency of the process of professional growth of future primary school teachers and insufficient development of theoretical and methodical foundations of ensuring this process during pedagogical practice. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is that: for the first time: the effectiveness of the pedagogical conditions of professional growth of future primary school teachers in the process of pedagogical practice has been theoretically substantiated and experimentally verified; certain ideas have been specified, namely: the essence of professional growth of future primary school teachers and the components of it; the essence of pedagogical practice, the kinds of it and their opportunities to promote the professional growth of future primary school teachers; the criteria and indicators of professional growth of future primary school teachers; the forms and methods of improving future primary school teachers’ professional competence have gained further development.
