Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of decision-making related to personal dispositions in substance-dependent individuals. Theoretical analysis of the problem of decision-making and its features in substance-dependent individuals was made. The psychological factors of decision-making and the place of personal dispositions in their structure were analyzed. Decision-making was defined as a process of identifying, comparing, and evaluating alternatives under uncertainty that results in the choice. Based on the theoretical analysis results, it was defined that the course and results of decision-making are influenced by personal dispositions, which can be generalized within the framework of two main systems of behavioral regulation: emotional and reflective. Substance addiction is associated with the imbalance between these systems.
