The purpose of the dissertation research is to determine the essence and reveal the features of administrative and legal regulation of postgraduate education of police officers in Ukraine on the basis of generalization of scientific works of scientists, analysis of Ukrainian legislation, international legislation and practice of their implementation, analysis of draft regulations. The main stages of formation and development of legal regulation of postgraduate education of police officers in Ukraine are highlighted. The definition of the concept of postgraduate education of police officers is formulated, the outlines and main features of postgraduate education are outlined. The concept of normative-legal regulation of postgraduate education of policemen in Ukraine is given. The essence of the concept "system of postgraduate education of police officers in Ukraine" is defined. Forms and methods of organization of postgraduate education of police officers in Ukraine are determined and characterized. The main features of distance learning in postgraduate education of police officers in Ukraine are established. Taking into account foreign experience of administrative and legal regulation of postgraduate education of police officers, provide proposals on the possibility of its use in Ukraine. Proposals on the main prospects and directions of development of administrative and legal regulation of postgraduate education of police officers in Ukraine are given.
