Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the current state of legal regulation of financial liability for tax offenses in Ukraine. The author proves that financial liability is a separate type of legal liability. The author proposes to define its concept as a system of legal relations, the content of which is the application by authorized state bodies to subjects of financial legal relations of financial coercion measures in case of violation of financial legislation (retrospective aspect) or the obligation to comply with and encourage lawful behavior of these subjects (prospective aspect) to protect public financial interests. The provisions of its system have been further developed (the author's version defines the purpose as the protection of public financial interests; the functions have been supplemented by the protection function; the elements have been added to the types).
