Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of upbringing the value attitude to water resources of the students of agricultural institutions of higher education. A retrospective analysis of pedagogical, psychological, philosophical, and sociological sources made it possible to see the development of ideas of upbringing the value attitude to water resources from ancient times to the present and to find out that the studied problem is considered only partially in the context of the value attitude to nature. The meaning of the concepts «value», «value attitude», «water resources» is clarified and the definition of the concept «value attitude to water resources» as an internal personal formation is proposed, which is manifested by an emotionally positive attitude to water resources, is characterized by an awareness of the importance for human life and involves environmentally safe and economical use. The structural components that form the meaning of the concept of «value attitude to water resources» are identified: emotional and evaluative is the awareness at the emotional level of the importance of water resources for the population and the state as a whole; reflective provides a search for personal content as a mean of overcoming obstacles to the conservation of water resources and their rational use; cognitive involves a set of knowledge, ideas, judgments about the value of water resources; activity is the readiness to participate in activities related to the conservation and rational use of water resources. The effectiveness of upbringing the value attitude to water resources of the students of agricultural institutions of higher education depends on a comprehensive approach and purposeful work. The results of experimental work show that there have been positive changes in the levels of upbringing the value attitude to water resources of the students due to the developed methodology and implementation of pedagogical conditions in the educational process.
