Essay

The study of the degree of scientific development of the problem has shown that a certain amount of knowledge on music and aesthetic education of primary school students in the Republic of Korea in the second half of XX – early XXI century has been accumulated in the scientific and historical-pedagogical literature. It is established that the researched problem acquired scientific development at the end of the XX century and the beginning of the XXI century, which was carried out in the following areas: study of philosophical factors influencing the formation of the educational system in Korea; articles, monographs, dissertations, which identify the features of primary education in Korea; works of general pedagogical nature on the tasks and content of music education and upbringing in the Republic of Korea; works in which the current state of musical and aesthetic education of students of the Republic of Korea is analyzed; scientific researches, which contain a comparative analysis of musical and aesthetic education of primary school students in the Republic of Korea and other countries; publications emphasizing the expediency of introducing the Korean experience into the educational processes of other countries. The scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the results is that for the first time in the domestic pedagogical thought in accordance with socio-political, socio-economic and pedagogical determinants a holistic analysis of music and aesthetic education of primary school students in the second half of XX – early XXI century has conducted. Analysis of encyclopedic reference books, works of scientists and revealing the essence of the basic definitions of «aesthetics», «musical aesthetics», «education», «aesthetic education», «music and aesthetic education», «primary school» allowed to focus on the key definition of dissertation research «musical and aesthetic education of primary school students of the Republic of Korea» as a purposeful process of using musical art in the formation of students in grades 1-6 ability to perceive and appreciate the beauty, harmony in art and nature, the ability to actively engage in aesthetic creativity and build a humane society.
