The system of corporate education in Canada is the research object. The research aim is to comprehensively analyse development and characteristic features of the corporate education in Canada and elaborate scientific and methodological recommendations on applying advanced ideas from Canadian experience in Ukraine. Research methods: descriptive, statistical and comparative, induction and deduction, generalization, analysis, logical, historical, retrospective, prognostic analysis, content analysis, statistical processing. For the first time the development and characteristic features of corporate education implementation in Canada are comprehensively analysed. The characteristics identified, inter alia, are the search for balance between using services from external and internal providers of corporate learning solutions, aligning corporate learning and development with business goals and corporate strategy, close interdependence between all components of corporate learning and development system, cyclical nature of employee learning and development process in Canadian organisations, etc. The study provides an outline and justification of the methodological framework of the research and theoretical foundations for development of corporate education in Canada. The research presents periodisation of corporate education history in Canada outlining six periods and defines main tendencies of its development at present (importance of building continuous learning culture within an organisation; increasing investments into corporate learning and development; prioritisation of corporate learning for achieving business goals; development of soft skills, technological, leadership and management competencies; personalisation and self-direction of workplace learning; effective use of advanced information technologies). In order to identify effective approaches and the best practices in the industry, the work analyses main models of learning and development in the researched country; characterises the system of corporate education which comprises the components defining its aim and objectives, content, stimulating and motivational, as well as operational aspects; outlines the process of organising employee learning. Scientific and methodological recommendations have been elaborated for the progressive Canadian experience to be applied in the context of corporate education development in Ukraine. The study clarifies the meaning of notions “corporate education”, “professional development”, “competency”, “model of competencies”, “professional in employee learning and development”, “corporate university”. The research deepens and expands scientific understanding of concepts and terms in the field of corporate education as well as approaches and characteristics of its organisation. Scientific statements on development of corporate education according to principles of adult education, theories of experiential and transformative learning have gained further development. Significant volume of literary sources in foreign languages on the researched problems, as well as numerous facts, ideas, and approaches in the sphere of corporate education have been introduced into Ukrainian scientific circulation.
