Essay

Parkinson's disease is the second most common neurodegenerative disease among the elderly in the world. The therapy of this disease is aimed at symptomatic treatment, as a complete cure is currently impossible, therefore the purpose of the dissertation study was to find ways to optimize the medicines administration for patients with Parkinson's disease. To achieve this goal, an epidemiological study of the disease and its condition in Ukraine and around the world, marketing analysis of the market of antiparkinsonian drugs, clinical and economic analysis of prescriptions to patients diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and pharmacoeconomic analysis of treatment regimens was handled. Based on the research, a guaranteed list of drugs for the treatment of Parkinson's disease and a list of drugs whose cost should be reimbursed were developed. According to the results of the dissertation research, guidelines and the Information letter, which are implemented in the activity of the relevant medical, pharmaceutical and scientific institutions, have been developed and agreed upon by the Academic Council of the National University of Pharmacy and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine
