The dissertation is a comprehensive study of the actual problem of social leadership formation in future social workers, which is reflected in the theoretical justification and experimental verification of organizational and pedagogical conditions for the formation of social leadership in future social workers in the process of professional training. In the dissertation for the first time were scientifically substantiated, experimentally tested and implemented organizational and pedagogical conditions for the formation of social leadership in future social workers in the conditions of professional training (the creation and activity of the School «Social leadership - Student »; the development of selective academic disciplines «Fundamentals of leadership »and« Social leadership »and their implementation in educational and professional programs in the specialty Social work; the use of various methods, forms and means of updating the leadership potential of future social workers); developed a structural and functional model for the formation of social leadership in future social workers, which consists of a target, organizational, content modules; the criteria (motivational-value, knowledge, personal, activity-practical), relative indicators and ranges (reactive, active, proactive) of social leadership formation in future social workers are determined. The essence of the concepts of «social leadership», «social leadership of social workers »,« formation of social leadership in future social workers »is clarified; the idea of the content and structure of social leadership in the context of the theory and practice of social work is expanded. Methods, forms and means of classroom and extracurricular educational and social-educational work on the formation of social leadership among students have been further developed. Expanding the understanding of the content of social leadership in the context of the theory and practice of social work helped to analyze the features of the process of its formation among students in the conditions of professional training. The dissertation describes the features of professional training of social workers in the context of the formation of social leadership.
