Essay

The thesis presents the substantiation of the essence of responsibility and the experimental verification of the effectiveness of mentoring as a means of formation of responsibility of students’ youth. Defined and theoretically substantiated: the concept of «formation of responsibility of student youth by means of mentoring»; features of introduction of students group mentoring of children who are in institutional care and upbringing institutions; features of formation of responsibility of student's youth by means of mentoring in the conditions of higher education institution; criteria and indicators of the formation of responsibility of student youth: cognitive-axiological (awareness of the essence of responsibility, awareness of responsibility as a value, acceptance of responsibility as one's own value); reflexive-prognostic (reflexivity, empathy, planning and forecasting a socially significant result); motivational-emotional (socially significant motivation, positive emotionality, altruism); activity-operative (independence and initiative, activity, control and self-control); identified and characterized levels of responsibility of student youth: optimal, situational and minimal; the interpretation of the concepts «responsibility», «mentoring», «mentor», «Service-Learning» has been clarified; forms and methods of upbringing work of higher education institutions on the formation of responsibility of student youth have been further developed. A qualitatively new approach to the formation of responsibility of student youth through the organization of participation in the children mentoring who are in institutional care and upbringing institutions has been introduced into the upbringing process of higher education institutions. A program of student youth participation in mentoring has been developed, which has three components: a mini program «My Responsibility», training «Path to Mentoring», individual and group (program «Friends and Advisers») participation in mentoring. Forms and methods of work with student youth on formation of their responsibility by means of mentoring are offered, methodical recommendations for teachers of higher education institutions, organizers of upbringing work in higher education institutions, teachers, students, social pedagogues, mentors have been developed. The essence of the concept of «responsibility» is substantiated and the peculiarities of formation of responsibility of student youth by means of mentoring in the conditions of higher education institution are revealed.
