The dissertation analyzes the state of solving the problem of illegal public use of drugs in places of mass stay of citizens. The analysis of the state of scientific elaboration of the problem of illegal public use of narcotic drugs is carried out. The legal regulation of illegal public use of drugs has been studied. Foreign experience in combating illegal public drug use is analyzed. The concepts and elements of forensic characteristics of illegal public use of drugs in places of mass stay of citizens are defined. The situation, trace and typical ways of committing crimes related to illegal public use of drugs in places of mass stay of citizens are outlined. Forensic evidence of the identity of the offender has been established. Features of separate investigative (search) actions are revealed. The peculiarities of the use of special knowledge during the pre-trial investigation of illegal public use of drugs in places of mass stay of citizens are determined. The interaction of the investigator with other subjects of counteraction to illegal public use of drugs was studied.
