In the given dissertation research the quintessence of the term "valuation concept" in the perspectives of the acquired legal heritage and modern theoretical and legal thought is comprehended, their classification characteristic is represented. Peculiarities of legal phenomena related to evaluative concepts are considered. The specifics of legal mediation of valuation concepts in the legislation of Ukraine are determined. The peculiarities of the application of these concepts in the practice of the European Court of Human Rights are described. The peculiarities of normative regulation of valuation concepts in the positive law of post-Soviet countries are demonstrated.
