Baranova A. Prevention of the negative environmental impact of pharmaceutical glass waste

The object of the research is environmental pollution by pharmaceutical glass waste. The subject of the research is the processes and means of preventing the ingress of pharmaceutical waste from glass into the environment through their disposal and an effective waste management system. The dissertation research is devoted to the prevention of the negative impact on the environment of pharmaceutical waste from glass, contaminated with pharmaceutical substances, through their environmentally friendly processing in ceramic production and increasing the efficiency of handling resource-valuable waste. Considered and analyzed the world experience on the peculiarities of handling medical (pharmaceutical) waste, including the generation and methods of waste disposal, as well as the behavior with pharmaceutical glass waste (PGW) during the COVID–19 pandemic, which has led to a sharp increase in the PGW formation.
