Lemesh M. Improvement of methods for calculation of biological waste water treatment facilities

The dissertation work is aimed to develop methods for evaluating the efficiency of wastewater treatment in bioreactors – aeration tanks. The methods for evaluating the efficiency of bioreactor based on two- and three-dimensional models of hydrodynamics, mass transfer and biological treatment, which allow to calculate the efficiency of waste water treatment in the facility taking into account its design features, operation regime have been developed. In the dissertation work the method of efficiency estimation of bioreactor with moving bed biofilm has been developed. This method is based on hydrodynamics, mass transfer and biological treatment models which allows to calculate quickly efficiency of bioreactor. Also, the method of calculating of bioreactor using balance models of biological wastewater treatment has been improved, which allows to take into account the change over time of the flow rate and concentration of activated sludge, substrate entering the bioreactor.
