he dissertation is devoted to the complex investigation of situational circumstances of a shot from a rifle in the investigation of crimes. The topic is extremely important in Ukraine, in light of the fact that as a result of the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine many shadow weapons appear in the shadow turnover, which are subsequently committed by their offenses in their controlled territory. Such a leap of arms creates the conditions for the widespread use of rifles and military arsenal gear, not just the arsenal of civilian weapons, which may complicate the execution of certain expert techniques that are based on outdated techniques and models and are geared toward civilian weapons. As result of all-round research, analysis of empiric material, the authorial understanding of genesis of establishment of situational circumstances of shot given from the threaded rifled firearms from the point of view of his division into periods on five stages. It is set that methodology that touch researches of situational circumstances of shot and that were worked out in the days of the USSR need the substantial updating (processing, addition and others like that), and methodologies are worked out in the days of independent Ukraine need an improvement to the modern requirements, and also paid attention to the existent normatively envisaged list of tasks of research of tracks of weapon, tracks of shot and situational circumstances of shot that must be extended at least by two separate tasks (by subtasks): 1) establishment of possibility of conduct of the aiming firing (to the shot); 2) establishments of trajectory of ricochet to the projectile.
