The relevance of the study is resulted from the necessity to expand the theoretical and methodological base of the national cultural studies, inadequate study of the foreign experience in music education as an element of the cultural policy.Upon the array of scientific literature and sources, we have developed the thesis purpose that is comprehensive coverage of musical education as a component of cultural policy in modern-day Germany. The target of research is correspondently a system of professional musical education in Germany in the 20th –early 21st centuries. The subject of the research involves music education as a structural component of the cultural policy in modern-day Germany.The above mentioned required the enrichment of the research method based on interdisciplinary, distinct historical, cultural, and ideological approaches.The scientific assignment of the thesis is to solve the important task in cultural studies that is comprehensive coverage of musical education as a component of cultural policy in modern-day Germany.The scientific novelty is determined by its purpose, a set of research tasks to be performed, and a subject of research. It has been established that the cultural policy is a conscious regulation in the culture sphere at the adoption of the required decisions on all items related to the cultural development of society. The musical policy is a sequence of conceptual state measures that influence the support and development of music, musical education, musical institutions, and the economics of musical life. The musical upbringing and state education are components of the state music policy.
