Essay

The thesis presents experimental materials of toxicological evaluation of complex dry disinfectant «Indez». In the study of the pharmacological stability of the disinfectant “Indez” it was found that the product is quite stable under conditions of storage at temperature 6-21°C, while retaining its bactericidal activity against test cultures of E. coli, S. аureus, B. subtilis and P. aeruginosa for 24 months. In the process of toxicological studies, it was found that according to SOU 85.2-37-736: 2011, according to the toxicity class disinfectant «Indez» for intragastric administration belongs to class IV – low toxicity. When studying the cumulative properties of the disinfectant «Indez», according to calculations of B. M. Shtabskyy, the cumulation coefficient is 5,4 units, which indicates a weak cumulative effect. Under the conditions of a chronic experiment, with long-term intragastric intake of «Indez» the body’s defenses strength of white rats was suppressed, as evidenced by a probable decrease in the number of leukocytes by 39,6%, an increase in the number of erythrocytes by 35,6%, as well as an increase in the level of hematocrit by 50% and a decrease in hemoglobin by 5,7 %. There was a tendency of ALT decrease by 12,1% and alkaline phosphatase decrease by 1,47%, at the same time, the activity of AST increased by 5,33%. The tendency to increase the coefficients of liver by 7.86%, as well as a decrease in the coefficients of heart by 11.1%, spleen by 16.4% and kidneys by 7.75%, compared with the control group, was found. Repeated intragastric administration of the disinfectant «Indez» to white mice on the 30th day of the experiment showed a probable increase in the duration of drug sleep by 22,6%, a probable increase in the erythrocyte intoxication index, respectively compared with animals in the control group. The activity of ALT and AST enzymes was increased by 2,23 and 10,5%. Morphometric analysis revealed that the «Indez» led to dystrophic changes in the structure of the duodenum in rats. The size of the villi significantly decreased, with a decrease in their length by 9% and an increase in width by 29,4%, as well as an increase in the depth and width of the crypts, respectively, by 13,3 and 21,8%. The disinfectant «Indez» affected the bone structure of the musculoskeletal system in rats, an effect on the metabolism of the bone tissue of the femur was recorded. Namely, an increase in bone strength during fractures while bending, a decrease in bone deformation during elastic deformation. It was found that when exposed to 24 hours, the disinfectant showed bactericidal properties against test cultures of E. coli, S. aureus and S. Typhimurium. It had a fairly high fungicidal action against fungi of the genera Aspergillus, Penicillium and Fusarium. The product had demonstrated effective 100% disinfection from E. coli, S. aureus and S. Typhimurium, which were applied to the surface of test objects made of wood, tile and brick. When studying the effectiveness of the disinfectant «Indez» in production conditions in the presence of broiler chickens, the level of total bacterial contamination decreased by 4,35 times, including sanitary microorganisms (SPM) in 4,03 times, the level of coliform bacteria decreased by 1,68 times, air pollution of poultry with ammonia decreased by 48,0%. The complex disinfectant «Indez» showed bactericidal action against E. coli and S. aureus in the disinfection of piggeries in the presence of piglets of the rearing section. Total bacterial contamination decreased by 95.1%, the concentration of ammonia in the air decreased by 58,4% compared to the initial data. In particular, with the use of Indez productivity increased by 2.69%, the preservation of livestock was higher by 4.0%, and also created the opportunity to reduce the incidence of gastrointestinal diseases by 3.6% and respiratory diseases by 8.0%. On the basis of the conducted researches the Technical conditions of Ukraine TU U 20.2–35580267-004: 2018. Dry disinfectant «Indez» were developed. The results of the research are introduced into the educational process by students studying the disciplines "Veterinary Pharmacology" and "Veterinary Toxicology" in institutions of higher education of Ukraine. Key words: Indez, disinfection, bactericidal properties, efficacy, toxicity parameters, biochemical, morphometric and clinical parameters in rats, mice, rabbits, cavies, poultry and piglets.
