Essay

The dissertation work is devoted to the study of artistic techniques and trends in stylistic synthesis in the creation of a female image. In the presented thesis defense for the first time: substantiated the concept of «synthesis of styles» as a promising method in the formation of a modern female image; developed and substantiated an algorithm for creating a female image based on the synthesis of styles; the author's development of actual female images was carried out on the basis of the synthesis of youth, middle age and senior age styles. The practical significance of the obtained research results lies in the identification of promising methods of stylistic synthesis. In order to identify the main areas of synthesis of styles used current models of women's clothing, presented on the Ukrainian market by designers Nadya Dzyak, Ksenia Schnaider, Ukrainian brands RITO, Jul through the resource Ukrainian Fashion Week, by own resources and online stores; editions TRserial and ELLE, etc. It has been established that the synthesis of styles can be carried out either by transformational changes within one form, or by arranging individual types of clothing into a set with the involvement of accessories and adornments. Conducted analysis and exposed features of the «style» concept in art and design; analyzed the concept of «style formation», «micro style», «stylization», «style structure» in the context of clothing design, identified the specific features of the main styles in fashion and derivatives, which are formed as a result of the synthesis of various directions. Synthesis of styles in creating a holistic image was defined as a method of combining different-style manifestations (form-building, constructive, compositional, coloristic, textured, finishing), due to the multifactorial influence of the socio-cultural environment, into an integral artistic-figurative system. Based on the conducted theoretical and empirical research, a classification of current style trends in fashion has been developed, which includes 9 groups – basic style, microstyle, author's style, style of subcultures, styles / trends common for art and fashion, styles / trends common for design and fashion, individual trends in fashion, historical styles / historicism, global trends. Analyzed theories and practical concepts of artists, stylists and makeup artists of the XX century. Which are the basis for modern style designers to reveal individuality and a holistic transformation of all components of the image. The theory of color types (I. Itten), the principles of color harmony in makeup (M. Factor), approaches to individual color identification (S. Cageil), the theory of appearance types (D. Kibby), recommendations for determining the type and advice for his wardrobe adaptation (D. Larson), the principles of combining hairstyles with external data (V. Sassoon) were analyzed. The approaches and tendencies in the creation of modern style solutions of the leading Ukrainian stylists V. Dyudenko, A. Krupchinskaya, K. Malyarchuk, I. Obolenskaya, E. Kalkatova, I. Brailko, A. Slon, Y. Pelipas, M. Muradova, L. Popova were clarified. Analyzing approaches of scientists to age periodization made it possible to identify the most acceptable distribution for recent studies, used for designing clothes: clothes for adults are divided by age, taking into account three age groups: youngest (18 – 29 years old), middle (30 – 44 years old) and older (45 years and older). There are 7 stages of creating an individual image based on the synthesis of styles: 1) analysis of needs of woman, which must be satisfied with the help of a figurative-functional solution; 2) determination of the purpose of the image; 3) finding out the style preferences of the consumer, determining the style solution in accordance with the purpose of the image and needs; 4) analysis of external parameters; 5) determination of shapes, silhouettes, textures, color combinations, decorative trim; 6) a sketch study of the whole image, the development of a technological map of a hairstyle, visualization of the figurative and stylistic structure of the image using a mood board; 7) implementation of the outline plan. The practical part of the research is presented by the author's development and photographic recording of individual stylistic solutions of female images of three age groups. Processed images for various purposes in accordance with the needs, style preferences, age characteristics. Analysis of promising methods of stylistic synthesis in modern women's suit and the results of practical implementation complete the insufficiently studied areas in the theory and practice of design. Key words: synthesis of styles, female fashionable image, costume design, trends, design techniques, individual style, age groups.
