Essay

The thesis is a comprehensive research, within which the theoretical and organizational-methodological foundations of pianists-performers training in art institutions of higher education in China and Ukraine are clarified. The state of elaboration of the problem of pianists-performers training in art institutions of higher education in China and Ukraine in the scientific discourse is revealed. The result of structural-logical analysis of scientific research on the problem of Ukrainian and Chinese scientists was identification of a number of aspects of the problem of pianists-performers training in art institutions of higher education in China and Ukraine, namely: problems of professional training of future pianists from China in the system of music education in Ukraine; problems of training pianists in Ukrainian education institutions of different levels; methodological foundations of pianists training; theoretical foundations of teaching piano; development of piano education in China; methodology of teaching to play the piano; teaching piano to future music teachers in higher education institutions in China and Ukraine. The methodological foundations of training pianists-performers in art institutions of higher education in China and Ukraine are revealed and the historical context of the development of piano schools in China and Ukraine is determined. The thesis systematizes the methodological foundations of pianists-performers training in art institutions of higher education in China (taking into account philosophical ideas, teaching principles and methodology) and Ukraine (defining versatile student development as a special goal of piano training; ensuring harmonious development of a future musician through developmental learning; formation of performing interpretation skills as an important component of professional training of a future pianist-performer; intensification of musical thinking of a future pianist-performer; use of problem-based learning in the process of students piano training; actualization of the need for practical implementation of individualization of learning in piano training). The content of pianists-performers training in art institutions of higher education of China and Ukraine is covered. The systemic-structural analysis of content features of pianists-performers training in art institutions of higher education of China and Ukraine is carried out. It has been found that pianists-performers training in art institutions of higher education in Ukraine and China is held in accordance with modern requirements. This is convincingly evidenced by the lists of winners of international performing competitions in different countries. The structure of curricula takes into account the Chinese and Ukrainian mentality, respectively, the peculiarities of national culture and social order. Education includes general training (in China, ideological in accordance with the political doctrine of China), moral and ethical, cultural, general professional, which contains the necessary set of music-theoretical and historical disciplines and serious special training. Its comprehensiveness provides a wide range of employment for graduates: they can work as concert performers – soloists, chamber ensemble artists and accompanists, piano teachers in higher education institutions. Comparison of curricula shows that the purpose of training in both countries is the same – formation of a highly qualified, erudite pianist-performer and teacher. Modern technologies of training pianists-performers in art institutions of higher education of China (musical performance) and Ukraine (task, personality-centered, integration, technological training) are determined. The leading directions of improvement of pianists-performers training in art institutions of higher education of China and Ukraine are revealed.
