The thesis is a comprehensive study, which clarifies the theoretical and practical foundations of vocalists professional training in the system of higher music education in China and Ukraine. Within the framework of revealing the state of elaboration of the issue of vocalists professional training in the system of higher music education in scientific and pedagogical research it has been found out that professional training of vocalists in higher education institutions is the subject of research interest of a wide range of Ukrainian and Chinese scientists. It is established that the problem of vocalists professional training in the system of higher music education in China and Ukraine has not found a sufficient comprehensive coverage. The result of structural-logical analysis of scientific research on the problem under investigation of Ukrainian and Chinese scientists was selection of certain aspects of the problem of vocalists professional training in the system of higher music education in China and Ukraine, namely: the specifics of academic singing; leading provisions of the theory of the singing voice; peculiarities of vocal and choral training of students-vocalists taking into account personal experience of practicing teachers; methodological aspects of various areas of vocal-pedagogical training of Chinese students; general problems of vocal-performing art; problems and specifics of mastering vocal performance technique; vocal training in Ukraine; vocal training in China; voice technique and physiology of this process; formation and development of professional abilities; physiological bases of voice production; research in the field of phoniatrics; acoustic features of the voice production process; orthoepic norms of sound production; hygiene of the singing voice. As a result of the systems-structural analysis of content features of vocalists professional training in the system of higher music education of China and Ukraine the common and distinctive features of vocalists training in the institutions of higher music education of the studied countries are determined. It has been found that the curricula of Ukrainian and Chinese conservatories have a common set of special, general humanities and general professional subjects. It is stated that in both countries graduates of conservatories can work as soloists in theaters, philharmonics and other musical associations, and state exams in the specialty “Academic Singing” are taken an individual or concert form. At the same time, after graduating from the conservatory, Ukrainian graduates receive the qualification of an opera singer, chamber or concert-chamber performer, etc. as well as have the opportunity to teach, while Chinese graduates do not receive any qualification, they receive only a diploma of graduation from a higher education institution in this specialty. In addition, Chinese higher education institutions do not have a common state standard for all HEIs with the same specialty as in Ukraine. Within the characteristics of the main forms of vocalists professional training in the system of higher music education in China (individual, collective classes, lectures, thematic classes, demonstration open lessons, workshops, competitions, festivals) and in Ukraine (individual, laboratory classes, lectures, practical classes, workshops, course projects, bachelor’s and master’s qualification works, art classes, creative projects, research work, Olympiads, study and generalization of pedagogical experience, concerts, concerts-lectures, competitions, festivals, creative meetings, thematic evenings, events, rites, reviews of amateur performances) have been characterized. Modern technologies of vocalists professional training in the system of higher music education of China (music-computer, vocal performance, inverted class) and Ukraine (information-computer, computer-multimedia, interactive, phonopedic development of singing voice (V. Yemelianov), resonant theory and technnique (V. Morozov)) are defined. The prognostic potential of the interaction of the systems of vocalists professional training in the institutions of higher music education of China and Ukraine is revealed. The prognostic potential of the study is determined by the possibility of using its results for further research work in this area in the process of modernization of the Chinese and Ukrainian systems of higher music education.
