Nykytiuk Y. Administrative and legal status of the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine

The Thesis provides a theoretical generalization and a new solution to the scientific problem, which is to develop issues of administrative and legal status of the High Anti-Corruption Court in the context of domestic law enforcement practice and the experience of foreign countries. The genesis of the High Anti-Corruption Court has been studied and based on the analysis the following main stages of its formation as a full-fledged element of the judiciary and anti-corruption mechanism have been identified: 1) by February 1, 2017 – emergence, evolution and institutionalizing the idea of an independent judiciary for considering cases of corruption in the highest bodies of State power; 2) February 01, 2017 – June 21, 2018 – legislative registration of the administrative and legal status of the High Anti-Corruption Court; 3) June 21, 2018 – to date – operationalization of the High Anti-Corruption Court and the improvement of administrative and legal support of its activities, which includes the following independent periods: competitive examination for the post of judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court; resolving organizational issues of preparation for the beginning of the Court’s work; operationalization of the High Anti-Corruption Court. The most tangible positive results of the work of the High Anti-Corruption Court have been identified, as well as the indicators of unrealized expectations and disappointment by its work, have been analyzed.
