Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the research of land use peculiarities in Luhansk region. In the first section of the dissertation - modern scientific and theoretical concepts of research of land use problems, conceptual and terminological apparatus in the field of land use and methods of constructive and geographical research of land use problems are considered. It is substantiated that an important tool for the implementation of constructive-geographical research of land use problems is its conceptual and terminological apparatus, which is currently under development. It is noted that all the variety of related concepts and terms can be combined into two main groups - on the one hand, these concepts and terms in the field of land management, on the other - the conceptual and terminological apparatus of geoecology and constructive geography. The second section of the dissertation outlines the main features of geological and tectonic structure, relief, climate, hydrography, soils, natural vegetation, as well as describes the landscapes and provides a scheme of physical and geographical zoning of Luhansk region. It is determined that the irrational attitude to natural resources, in particular land, has resulted in numerous manifestations of irreversible degradation of natural and man-made processes, which makes Luhansk region one of the ecologically problematic regions of Ukraine. The third section of the dissertation analyzes the formation, current state and dynamics of land use structure, highlights the features of agricultural land use and related transformations of relief and landscape, the characteristics of industrial land use and the resulting land disturbance, the role and place of urban land in land use structure and importance. other types of land use. It is established that the agricultural pressure on the land is high throughout the Luhansk region, and in its southern part - especially high or catastrophic, as the area of unsuitable land here is larger than in the north of the region, due to natural conditions; in addition, this region is experiencing a greater anthropogenic and man-made load due to the development of mining and related industries. In the fourth section of the dissertation the classification of anthropogenically changed lands of Luhansk region is considered; an environmental hazard assessment in the field of land use in Luhansk region has been developed; the prospects of ecological optimization of agricultural land use in Luhansk region are determined; the zoning of the territory of Luhansk region was carried out on the grounds of ecological land use; recommendations for measures to optimize agricultural land use in Luhansk region; the investment attractiveness of the lands of Luhansk region is analyzed. It is established that the main directions of ecological optimization of land use in Luhansk region are reduction of arable land in the structure of the land fund, afforestation of territories occupied by erosion-dangerous slopes, development of once traditional, but later unjustifiably forgotten branches of agriculture (beekeeping, horse breeding, etc.) objects of the nature reserve fund. According to the assessment of the eco-condition of the lands of the northern part of Luhansk region in the field of agricultural land use, four groups of administrative districts have been identified on the basis of ecological sustainability of agro-landscapes.
