Harbar Y. Training Civic Responsibility of Future Officers of Higher Military Education Institutions.

The thesis deals with studying the issue of training future officers’ civic responsibility in higher education institutions. Having analysed scientific and pedagogical sources, the past experience on the education of civic responsibility of the younger generation and after surveying the academic staff and the students who participated in the experiment, we identified the issues of training civic responsibility of future officers of higher military education institutions, which are to be solved in the framework of the current research, namely: insufficient development of the conceptual and terminological apparatus of training civic responsibility of future officers of higher military education institutions; theoretical foundations for educating this responsibility, as well as the lack of an effective set of innovative methods, forms, tools that would ensure the effectiveness of training civic responsibility of future officers of higher military education institutions. The content of the basic research concepts «civic consciousness», «civic responsibility» is specified. The key research concepts are defined: «civic responsibility of future officers of higher military education institutions» as future officers’ ability to professionally treat their duties to the state and society (especially when performing military service); to form harmonious relations in the systems «future officer-state», «future officer-serviceman», «future officer- society», their own active civic stand on service and devotion to military art; to act patriotically, to be honest, to respect state institutions, to protect their fellow citizens, both when performing professional duties and in everyday life, to respect cultural, spiritual and material values of the Motherland, «training civic responsibility of future military officers of higher military education institutions» as an integrated process of purposeful and systematic influence on cadets / subordinates aimed at the formation of their harmonious relations in the systems «future officer-state», «future officer-serviceman», «future officer-society»; inculcating respect for the cultural, spiritual and material values of the state, its symbols, language and citizens into them, their ability to show personal initiative on the grounds of their own active civic stand.
