Essay

The dissertation presents a theoretical generalization and a new solution to the current scientific problem of establishing structural changes in the duodenal wall of rats with skin burn trauma based on deep structural transformations of its mucous membrane, which deepen in the association of burn injury with diabetes. Name of research work and state registration number «Morphological features and changes of the digestive system in experimental burn skin trauma» №0119U101618. The experiment was performed on 84 white outbred laboratory male rats weighing 160-180 g. 21 intact rats without signs of somatic pathology; the first experimental group – 21 rats with experimentally simulated skin burn injury; the second experimental group – 21 rats without skin burns with experimentally modeled diabetes mellitus; third experimental group – 21 rats with experimentally simulated skin burn injury and diabetes. Burning skin injury was caused according to the base model of F. C. Regas, H.P. Ehrlich, in a modification of I. Gunas et al. The depth of burns was estimated according to the classification according to which 1% of burns of the I degree is equal to 1 unit of an index of severity of damage; 1% of burns of the II degree - to 2 units; 1% of burns of the III degree – to 3 units; 1% of IV degree burns – up to 4 units. The model of experimental diabetes mellitus was reproduced by administering streptozotocin to rats intraperitoneally once at a dose of 50 mg / kg, pre-dissolved in 0.1M citrate buffer solution (pH-4.5). The control of the development of hyperglycemia in the experimental groups was the level of glucose in the blood – 24.24 ± 0.79 mmol / l. In the control group 8.03 ± 0.4 mmol / l. The part of the duodenum was taken for morphological examinations, fragments of which were examined by light and electron microscopy.
