Mohammed S. Pharmacognostic study of Prunus domestiсa L.

The study of the composition of biologically active substances (BAS) of fresh fruits of domestic plum Stanley variety with qualitative reactions, as well as methods of paper, thin-layer, gas, high performance liquid chromatography and atomic absorption spectrometry was carried out. As a result of the researches the presence of water-soluble polysaccharides, pectin substances, monosaccharides, alcohols, phenolic compounds, amino acids, organic acids and mineral elements was established. Based on the research, the project of Quality Control Methods QCM “Domestic Plums Fresh Fruits” was developed. Schemes for obtaining pectin complex, Prunofen extracts and Plum fruit polysaccharide complex (PFPSC) were developed from fresh plum fruits. The novelty of the research was confirmed by the patent of Ukraine for a utility model № 118457 and the patent of Ukraine for invention № 118602. Schemes for obtaining extracts of Prunofen and PFPSC were tested in the conditions of PJSC «Chervona Zirka «Chemical & Pharmaceutical Plant». In the extracts obtained according to the developed scheme, the content and composition of BAS were studied and QCM projects were developed for them. Acute toxicity was determined for the obtained extracts and it was found that Prunofen extract showed uricosuric, diuretic and membrane stabilizing activity, and PFPSC - laxative and hepatoprotective.
