Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the theoretical and experimental justification of the composition, development of technology and study of emulsion bases for semi-solid dosage forms of extemporaneous production. The work presents generalized data of modern literature sources on the state of extemporaneous production in Ukraine and abroad. In accordance with the recommendations and requirements of the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine for semi-solid drugs manufactured in pharmacies, a research plan was developed to find the optimal composition of the emulsion base. The characteristics of excipients are given; the choice of research methods for pharmaceutical development is made. Theoretically and experimentally on the basis of the results of physicochemical, pharmacotechnological, rheological studies the concentration of the oil phase, the ratio and concentration of emulsifiers, which allowed to develop stable emulsion bases of the first and second kind with the necessary rheological, pharmacological and sensory properties, was justified. The structural and mechanical parameters of ointments based on emulsion bases of the first and second kind were studied. The correlation between the type of emulsion base and the degree of release of the active substance depending on its physicochemical properties is established. According to the results of microbiological and physicochemical studies, the shelf life of the developed extemporaneous semi-solid drugs during storage in polymer containers of 20.0 g, closed with a lid, at a temperature of (5 ± 3) ºC, is 5 month
