Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the research of an architectural and planning organization and development of new territorial communities of recreational specialization. The study was conducted on the example of Ternopil region. Prerequisites for reforming the territorial organization and creating territorial communities in Ukraine, the history of building formation and planning organization of territories and settlements of the Western regions of Ukraine, as well as the state of urban planning documentation at the local level are analyzed. The necessity of updating scientific approaches, methodical and practical changes of territorial planning, and justification of ways of spatial development of territorial communities and settlements of the region is proved. Administrative-territorial changes and the process of formation of new territorial communities of Ternopil region are considered. The analysis of the recreational potential of the region confirmed the prospects of recreation for the architectural and planning organization and spatial development of many territorial communities. The classification of recreational specialization communities according to the type of tourist and recreational resource has been introduced. The basic requirements to the architectural and town-planning decisions on development of new territorial communities of recreational specialization are defined. Architectural and planning principles, methods and practical recommendations for improving the architectural and planning solutions of new territorial associations and their centers are substantiated.
