The dissertation research is devoted to the features of the international activity of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (hereinafter – the UGCC) in the modern period. The main focus is on the manifestations of the external activities of the UGCC both in international and domestic aspects, as well as the processes of state-building in independent Ukraine. Starting from the global factors caused by the formation of a postmodern society, which creates the latest religions, based on both technology and futurological vision of the universe, and local crises in various fields, which force humanity to return to the origins directly related to the genesis of the church. The religious factor has always played an important role in the life of mankind, in particular, which lies in the historical interaction of the church and the state, especially at the present stage of human development.
