Essay

In general, the dissertation summarizes the religious-philosophical understanding of the post-secular spiritual and social reality and the ecumenical movement as a specific theological formula and socio-religious model of returning to the origins, the idea and practice of restoring internal unity among believers and strengthening the power and influence of the Church on the social demands of the modern world and a person. A comprehensive philosophical and religious understanding of the content, ideological, semantic and value concepts of the post-secular ecumenical paradigm of the Catholic Church was carried out. A thorough religious analysis of the socio-practical potential of ecumenism as a dominant direction and form of realization of the post-secular paradigm of Catholicism in the conditions of modern global processes and transformations, which have their contradictory manifestations at the world, regional and local levels, has been carried out. According to this approach, ecumenism takes the form of a complete axiological system containing ideas and practical guidelines that contribute to the sustainable development of humanity, national states, and peoples with their aspirations to preserve their own spiritual and cultural identity. It is proved that, ecumenism, on the one hand, appears as a doctrine with all the concepts, features and criteria characteristic of its structural and functional nature, as well as clearly established forms of its objectification and influence, and on the other hand, a set of concrete tools and practical means for its implementation and achievement of the set goal, remaining from the point of view of religious-methodological conceptualization a phenomenon that is clearly quite difficult to assess both from the standpoint of scientific discourse and purely ecclesial-theological analysis. the modern theological projection of the Catholic ecumenical paradigm is built on the postmodern program of social service of the Catholic Church, which is based on the Christ – and anthropocentric idea of the philosophical interpretation of the post-secular ecumenical paradigm with its dominant – ecclesiological, eucharistic and soteriological aspects.
