The dissertation is the first comprehensive study within the framework of the Ukrainian historical and legal science of the legal education genesis in Ukraine in the context of the influence of globalization processes and domestic factors, the development of a new paradigm of national legal education in the context of integration into the European educational space. The current stage of formation of the legal education national model is going through a difficult transition period, which is manifested in the search of a new paradigm that could fully meet the social needs of the XXI century and the national legal system. Scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the fact that based on a comprehensive study of theoretical and practical problems of formation and development of national legal education in a globalized society, the concept of the development of a legal education model is doctrinal, taking into account modern methodological tools and proposals for improving legal regulation of relations in the field of legal education. It has been stated that there is a need to change the national legal paradigm, which must finally get rid of the priority of positivist understanding of law, stop equating law (as a system of legal norms) and law (as a document regulating a specific group of public relations), recognize that the main value is man, his dignity and human rights, and legal education is not just an academic space for legal discussions, rather it is a toolkit for the development of human rights, human solidarity, social dialogue and, finally, it is the basis for the rule of law and legality.
