In the dissertation the actual problem of formation of readiness of future teachers of musical art to creative and interpretive work with school choirs taking into account modern humanistic tendencies of art education is investigated. The activity of the future music teacher is analyzed from the standpoint of music-theoretical analysis of vocal and choral works intended for performance by students and step-by-step work on determining the interpretive features of these works taking into account physiological and singing features of schoolchildren, their general musical development. In view of this, the role of interpretation of vocal and choral works as an artistic and sound realization of a musical text in the process of performance is actualized, which provides a holistic understanding of works, their creative enrichment and reproduction in performance. The analysis of the content and essence of intellectual and creative readiness of future music teachers to work with school choirs is carried out on the basis of system-integration, communicative, reflective-conscious, constructive and creative research approaches.
