Essay

The dissertation is devoted to parasitic arthropods, which are common among cattle in the stall and grazing periods and the development of preventive measures for bovicolosis and syphunculosis, as well as methods of prevention of zoophilic flies. New data on the spread of parasitic arthropods of cattle in the farms of different forms of ownership of Poltava and Sumy regions. Peculiarities of seasonal and age dynamics in cattle with ectoparasitosis have been determined. In the conditions of farms of Poltava and Sumy regions, parasitism of chewing lice Bovicola bovis (EI – 7–85 %) and lice Linognathus vituli (EI – 10–100 %) and Наеmаtоріnus еurustеrnus (EI – 5–36 %) was found in cattle. It was found that the average intensity of infestation by zoophilic flies is 198,85±2,98 specimens/animal. Holstein cows (354,50±5,08 specimens/animal) are the most susceptible to the active attack of flying two-winged insects. In the blood of cows with bovicolosis, a decrease in the number of erythrocytes by 9,6 %, hemoglobin content by 10,5 %, an increase in the number of leukocytes by 12,7 % and eosinophils by 36 %. In the blood of calves with syfunculatosis, a decrease in the number of erythrocytes by 15,1 %, hemoglobin content by 22,8 % and an increase in the number of leukocytes by 14,1 %. For the first time in Ukraine, the microcarrier Bovicola bovis was found out. Persistence of microorganisms: Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria spp. In vitro experimental studies have shown 100 % efficacy of cyfluthrin in 0,01–1 % concentrations against Bovisola bovis adults, whose complete death occurred after 12–48 h. The existing data on the insecticidal efficacy of Cyflur in bovicolosis and sifunculatosis have been supplemented. The insecticidal action of Cyflur in vivo has been established. An effective scheme of treatment and prevention of bovicolosis and syfunculatosis of cattle and control of zoophilic flies has been developed.
