Bahlai T. The study of the problem of rational use of antibacterials for systemic use in Ukraine

The dissertation is devoted to scientific research of the problem of rational use of antimicrobial drugs of systemic action in Ukraine by determining their consumption in DDDs / 1000 inhabitants / day in order to control this process and improve the use of antimicrobial drugs (AMD) to effectively combat antibiotic resistance (ABR). Retrospective study of the real level of AMDs consumption, awareness of the participants about ABR, and rational use of antimicrobial drugs is the task of the international and national medical communities, set out in the global, interstate, and national action plans to combat the spread of ABR. The development and implementation of a domestic policy aimed at the rational use of AMDs require constant obtaining of big data on the volume of hospital and outpatient consumption of such drugs, the establishment of trends in its dynamics. Such work should also be based on objective information about the awareness of doctors, pharmacy workers, and consumers of medicines (population) about the correct use of systemic AMDs. The practical value of the dissertation is focused on creating and strengthening the scientific basis for further implementation of domestic policy to combat the development of resistance of microorganisms to antimicrobial drugs of systemic action, the accumulation of facts about the use of AMDs, and combating ABR in Ukraine
