Stremoukhov O. The pharmacognostic study of blueberry leaves and fruits for creating new medicines

The thesis is devoted to the pharmacognostic study of fruits and leaves of high-bush blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum L.), the development of methods for obtaining dry extracts from the plant raw material, their phytochemical and pharmacological research, the determination of the parameters for standardization of leaves and extracts from high-bush blueberry leaves in order to create substances with the anti-inflammatory, hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic activity based on them. The main diagnostic morphological and anatomical features of highbush blueberry leaves were determined. The qualitative composition and quantitative content of macro- and microelements, amino acids, monosaccharides, carboxylic acids, flavonoids, hydroxycinnamic acids and terpenoids were studied in blueberry fruits, stems and leaves. The DMF project “Highbush blueberry leaves” were developed. Optimal extractants from blueberry leaves and fruits were established, schemes for obtaining dry extracts from highbush blueberry leaves (under the conditional name “Vatsinol” and extract “Lokharin” modified with arginine) were developed, which are protected by the patent of Ukraine № 145107; their phytochemical study and standardization were carried out, anti-inflammatory, hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic activity were studied
