The dissertation research - "Local governments of Ukraine as subjects of information law" is relevant because its issues correspond to the direction of scientific research, defined in the Decree of the President of Ukraine "On Sustainable Development of Ukraine until 2030" from March 30, 2019 № 722 (Goal № 16) and is aimed at solving task 16.7 - improving the efficiency of public authorities and local governments, which is enshrined in the provisions of the relevant National Report on the Sustainable Development Goals. The scientific novelty of the results is the development and implementation of the author's approach to the study of local governments of Ukraine as subjects of information law and is determined by the fact that the dissertation is the first in domestic science "information law" comprehensive monographic research on this issue. Generalization of conceptual provisions of the methodology of science "information law" allowed to determine the first phase of the cycle of own research, namely: 1) the scientific hypothesis - "local governments of Ukraine are subjects of information law"; 2) to develop a plan for the implementation of the hypothesis formed a systematic cognitive model of local governments of Ukraine as subjects of information law; the structure of this model is proposed: a) model of legal knowledge on the participation of local governments of Ukraine in the development of the information society; b) a model of legal knowledge on the observance of the principles of law by these bodies as subjects of information society development; c) model of generalized legal knowledge about subjects of law; d) a model of legal knowledge about the legal nature of these bodies. A system model of legal support for the activities of these bodies has been formed, which has three levels: supersystem, system, subsystem.
