Bychkovska M. Protection of intellectual property rights for the unregistered fashion designs.

The dissertation is a complex research in which theoretical and practical issues related to protection of intellectual property rights for unregistered designs in fashion industry are formed and ways of their decision are defined. The dissertation analyzes the concept of protection of intellectual property rights for unregistered designs in fashion industry under the laws of Ukraine, taking into consideration experience and legislation of the European Union (EU) and EU member states, the United States (hereinafter – US) and People's Republic of China (hereinafter – China). Based on the analysis, the concept of unregistered designs rights protection in fashion industry is determined, which consists in the application of protection regimes that do not provide for mandatory registration, namely copyright and unregistered industrial design.
