In the dissertation, for the first time, the pedagogical conditions for the formation of the ecological culture of future civil defense specialists are substantiated in the process of professional training (increasing the attention of applicants on the priorities of the values of nature, compliance with moral norms, ecologically appropriate activities, habits of behavior in the environment, value orientations, expert judgments, sustainable motives of educational, ecologically safe professional activity based on a reasoned selection of forms and methods of education; providing applicants with the opportunity to choose an educational trajectory, methods and means for its implementation based on updating the content of professional disciplines; activating the applicant’s self-development: from acquiring knowledge about ecological culture through awareness of its meaning and self-expression in practical activities).The model for the formation of the ecological culture of future civil defense specialists in the process of professional training has been developed and tested, which covers a number of blocks: methodological-targeted (goals, tasks, approaches, principles); content-technological (content, forms, methods, means, technologies); criterial-evaluative (diagnostic tools, criteria, indicators, levels, result). The criteria for the formation of the ecological culture of future civil defense specialists in the process of professional training and their indicators have been clarified.On the basis of the defined criteria and indicators, the level of formation of the environmental culture of future civil defense specialists in the process of professional training was characterized: high, medium and low.
