Essay

The object of the study is the process of destruction of reinforced concrete damaged columns of I-beam cross-section; Research methods: empirical - conducting experimental studies of reinforced concrete columns of I-beam cross-section, which had artificial damage, under the action of static loads using modern measurement methods. Collection, study and analysis of publications carried out in the direction of the chosen topic of the dissertation, development of experimental research methods using the theory of experiment planning, numerical modeling, analysis and statistical processing of the obtained research results, comparison of the obtained results, abstraction, generalization, induction, deduction, formulation of the main conclusions and recommendations. The application of the standard methodology for calculating the load-bearing capacity of reinforced concrete elements with the extension of its effect to the case of oblique off-center compression and justified calculation prerequisites and the results of comparison of the obtained theoretical results with experimental ones. The results of experimental and theoretical research made it possible to develop an algorithm for calculating the residual bearing capacity of damaged reinforced concrete columns of I-beam cross-section, which can be used in the practice of construction and reconstruction of buildings and structures, as well as in the educational process at the Odessa State Academy of Construction and Architecture in the preparation of masters of specialty 192 "Construction and civil engineering", which will allow a rational approach to the issue of strengthening and repairing eccentrically compressed damaged elements, knowing their residual bearing capacity.
