Essay

The study is devoted to the optimization of the complex treatment of superficial bladder cancer by experimentally substantiating the cardio safety of doxorubicin during its serial intravesical application based on the study of the morpho-functional state of heart, as well as biochemical and electrophysiological parameters of the functioning of the myocardium. An innovative development is the method of serial local application of doxorubicin under experimental conditions, improvement of the method of optimized, effective and safe placement of a permanent catheter in rats for weekly administration of the chemotherapy drug. A new method of bladder puncture in rats has been developed, which is based on the contrast of the bladder cavity for urine collection and administration of the necessary drugs. For the first time, manufactured and patented catheter for serial intravesical administration of drugs and washing of the bladder cavity. It was experimentally proven for the first time that the severity of pathobiochemical changes in the myocardium during serial intravesical administration of doxorubicin is statistically less than those that develop during its systemic intravesical administration. It has been established that local application of chemotherapy, in contrast to systemic application, is not accompanied by probable changes on the ECG. For the first time, it was shown that the morphological signs of damage to the myocardial tissue from the five-time intravesical administration of doxorubicin are significantly less than those from its systemic administration. It was established that signs of dilated cardiomyopathy (the width of the cavities of the right and left ventricles of the heart) with the local route of administration of doxorubicin were significantly less than with intravenous administration of the chemopreparation.
