Yershov M. Development trends of IT education in independent Ukraine

The dissertation substantiates the theoretical, historiographic and comparative foundations of the study of IT education in independent Ukraine as a historical-pedagogical phenomenon (scientific approaches to the study of the studied phenomenon are considered, its historiography is studied, foreign experience of development is researched, the place and role of domestic IT education in the market of the global IT industry is clarified). A retrospective analysis of socio-economic, legal and historical-pedagogical prerequisites for the formation and development of IT education in independent Ukraine is carried out, the main stages and trends of development are identified and characterized. The peculiarities of the formation of digital skills among graduates of general secondary education institutions are studied. The specifics of IT training of vocational (professional-technical) and professional pre-higher education for professional activities in the conditions of digitalization of the modern labor market have been revealed. The main problems of training IT specialists in specialized and non-specialized specialties in institutions of higher education and their readiness for activity in the IT industry are shown. A comparative analysis of the directions of domestic IT education is performed: formal (institutionalized), informal (courses, seminars, master classes, trainings) and informal (education in the family, at work, corporate training, self-education). Prognostic substantiation of the development of IT education in the conditions of post-war economic recovery and reform of the education system of Ukraine is carried out.
